Medicare Advantage (also called Part C) is an all-in-one plan that includes your hospital insurance (Part A), medical insurance (Part B), and usually prescription drug coverage (Part D). Many plans also include extra benefits like dental, vision, and hearing. It is offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. Think of it as a bundled package that often costs less than buying everything separately.
Costs vary based on your needs. Some Medicare Advantage plans have $0 monthly premiums. You can first sign up for Medicare during your Initial Enrollment Period, which starts 3 months before you turn 65 and ends 3 months after.
